SCHOOL TALK AT WELAMLAMBO PRIMARY SCHOOL
On Monday, 15 April 2025, officers from the Social Crime and Youth Crime Prevention Desk conducted a school talk with foundation phase learners at Welamlambo Primary School.
#SAPSCommunityOutreach #YouthCrimePrevention

The initiative aims to prevent bullying within the school, the sale of illegal substances around the school fence, and the influence of gangsterism both in and around the school environment. The following key topics were emphasized:
#StopBullying #SafeSchools
- Learners were urged to stay away from the school fence to avoid being approached by drug dealers.
#SayNoToDrugs #ProtectOurChildren

- The impact of gender-based violence at home was also discussed, as it affects children emotionally and mentally—often resulting in them unleashing anger and violence on other learners at school. The consequences of bullying were strongly emphasized.
