Tembisa South SAPS marked Heritage Day celebrations on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, bringing together police personnel in a day focused on culture, unity, social cohesion and mutual respect.
The celebration was held at the Tembisa South Police Station on behalf of the Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mushwana.

According to Sergeant Selepe Kate, the Tembisa South Social Crime Prevention Communication Officer, the celebration was aimed at promoting unity and social cohesion among SAPS members from different cultural backgrounds.
The event also sought to foster a spirit of Ubuntu, pride and belonging, while creating an opportunity for members to celebrate their diverse cultural heritage beyond their daily operational responsibilities.
