TEMBISA, GAUTENG — The Face of Beauty Tembisa recently celebrated its third annual event, bringing together young women, families, community members, judges, sponsors and supporters for a celebration centred on beauty, confidence, talent, individuality and sisterhood.

More than just a pageant, Face of Beauty Tembisa has established itself as a platform designed to help young women discover their potential, develop self-confidence and recognise their ability to make a positive difference in their communities.

The organisation’s vision is centred on empowering young women to believe in themselves, embrace their uniqueness and grow into confident role models within their communities.

The third annual event provided an opportunity to recognise participants across three categories — Senior Queen, Teen Queen and Junior Queen — with winners and runners-up celebrated for their participation and achievements.

In the Senior Queen category, Tshepiso Marota was crowned Senior Queen, with Surprise Matamela named First Runner-Up and Summer Sihlangu taking the position of Second Runner-Up.

The Teen Queen title went to Lihle Mashiane, while Tisetso Radebe was named First Runner-Up and Olerato Mahlangu took Second Runner-Up.

In the Junior Queen category, Hope Molotsi was crowned Junior Queen, while Phuthi Maeteletja was named First Runner-Up. Kethabile Legong was recognised as an Ambassador in the junior category.

The event also brought together a dedicated team of individuals who contributed to its success. Kidibone Masingi served as the Master of Ceremonies, while Siyabonga Mshengu, Kahlolo Phahlahla and Hlawutelo Hlungwani served as judges. Lammie Mashele served as Head of Judges.

The initiative was founded by Lusanda Mapundu, whose work continues to focus on creating a platform where young women can develop confidence, discover their individuality and grow through the experience of pageantry.
