The SABHIBA NPO Career and Business Exhibition officially opened on Monday, 15 September 2025, marking the first day of an exciting five-day programme running from 15–19 September 2025. The event is designed to empower job seekers, entrepreneurs, and local businesses in and around Daveyton with opportunities, information, and valuable connections.

Day 1 at the exhibition set the tone with an inspiring line-up of speakers and performances. Programme Director Elias Sibeko (Captain SA) welcomed guests and introduced the programme, followed by an official welcome address from SABHIBA Chairman Michael Dlamini. Attendees were also given an overview of the organisation by Mr. Desley Fortune, who shared the background and vision of SABHIBA.

Aspiring entrepreneurs received motivational words from Mr. Themba Xaba, encouraging them to take bold steps in growing their businesses. The energy of the event was elevated by an outstanding performance from the Madamara Youth Dancers, showcasing local talent and creativity.

Several exhibitors presented their organisations, offering services and opportunities to the community. Highlights included presentations from the IEC (Mr. Phala), Basize Bonke Foundation (Mr. Sizwe Mngomezulu), Zooks Funeral Services (Mr. S. Khumalo), Standard Bank – New Market Branch (Ms. Fiddian Mamabolo, Branch Manager), and He Is A Provider Org (Ms. Thabile). These exhibitors showcased the diversity of services available to support individuals and businesses alike.

Another crowd favourite was the performance by the Twins – dancers and singers – who added vibrancy and entertainment to the day’s programme. The day culminated in a powerful Keynote Address by Michael Dlamini, reinforcing SABHIBA’s commitment to uplifting communities and creating platforms for economic growth.
