His hands-on involvement in major development projects reflects his commitment to service and his passion for uplifting communities.

One of the most significant projects currently underway is the rehabilitation of the Tswelopele pedestrian bridge in Extension 8. The bridge, first built in 2014, had long been a source of concern for residents due to floods caused by the Kraalspruit River. Continuous dumping of sewage and waste into the river made the situation worse, affecting water flow, water quality, and ultimately the health of nearby households. After numerous complaints from the community, Cllr Madimetsa took action to ensure the bridge is rebuilt to better serve the people of Tembisa.

During a community site review, Mr. Morena Chauke, a respected community leader, highlighted the ongoing efforts to prevent past mistakes. He emphasized that together with residents, the ward leadership is making sure blockages do not occur again. This cooperative approach shows how strong partnerships between leaders and communities can achieve sustainable solutions.

In addition to the bridge project, electricity development in Duduza is also in progress. Electric poles are being installed to ensure reliable energy supply, a necessity for safety and growth. Illegal connections, which have long plagued communities, often result in poor supply and unsafe environments. Cllr Madimetsa encourages residents to unite against such practices, recognizing that safer, legal connections are essential for progress.

What sets Cllr Madimetsa apart is not only his role in government projects but also his willingness to go the extra mile. Together with his dedicated team, he has even used personal resources to assist with challenges such as cleaning illegal dumpsites around Duduza Squatacamp. This act of sacrifice stems from his belief that a cleaner environment leads to better health and more opportunities for development.

“Having a good team makes leadership easier,” said Cllr Madimetsa. “We are here to improve the system in our wards, to ensure people live in dignity, health, and safety. Our democracy is meaningful only when it changes the lives of ordinary people.”

He further stressed the importance of community participation. Residents must take ownership by avoiding illegal dumping, protecting water streams, and promoting good health habits. A well-maintained environment is not just about cleanliness, but also about ensuring opportunities for more developmental projects to come into Tembisa.

Cllr Madimetsa is a shining example of how councillors serve as the eyes and ears of the community. By listening to the people, acting on their concerns, and working with humility, he continues to restore hope and pride in Ward 102. With leaders like him, and with collective community support, Tembisa can rise as a model of unity, resilience, and growth for South Africa.

On the issue of electricity it is a great disasters,as those who are benefiting are not the really beneficial who risided since 1995, majority of duduza residents who suppose to benefit have not re-blocked in the area they are currently lectrifying,it is just a reward to those who have been selling open space with the service provider and human settlement official and former councilor, including the clo and the task team who was appointed to check and monitor the work,if indeed our current councilor was a resident of the ward he has knowledge of what transpired, some community lost their stand in fervour of those who got money,so where is justice, i’m one of the victim Who’s house was burned down because we we raise the issue with the municipality and the official of the human settlement,it is a continuation of corrupt elements,
Thank you for sharing your experience and raising these important concerns. We understand the frustration and pain caused by situations like this, and it is deeply troubling when those who deserve services are overlooked.
🙏 We encourage you to remain positive and continue engaging with the processes of change. Speaking up, sharing your story, and holding responsible parties accountable are all powerful ways to contribute to transformation in your community.
