Janet Motha from Boksburg serves under the leadership of Apostle M.F. and S. Mhlongo in the church called Flock of God Ministries. Apostle M.F. Mhlongo had a vision to form a women’s organization group called Phakama Hannah, where Janet plays a key role by handling all the administration work.

The purpose of the Phakama Hannah Women’s Prayer Group is to gather women from around the world to pray together, motivate, inspire, and empower each other. The group was founded in 2023.

This year’s theme is “Women of Proverbs”, inspired by Proverbs 31:10–31. The scripture highlights the example of a wise woman who uses her hands to do business, plays a significant role in her home and community, and gains strength from obeying God. Building a strong relationship with God also shapes how one relates to others. The message encourages women to use what they have to improve their lives, avoid laziness, think smart, and take action—no matter what challenges life presents.

Often, when people hear about a religious event, they assume it will focus only on the Bible. However, women—whether born again or not—face real-life challenges such as gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, and single parenting. That is why gatherings like these combine spiritual guidance with professional support. Different speakers are invited to inspire women to pursue education, become business-wise, and prepare for a brighter future with the right tools and energy.

At this year’s conference, crowns were fixed, hearts were revived, and long-held questions were answered. Women received wisdom, strength, and solutions—and most importantly, a clear vision on how to handle life going forward.

When women gather, they are united. As the Bible says, we are one body in Christ—and therefore need one another. Professional workers such as social workers, psychologists, police officers, and charity leaders also played a huge role in assisting women facing challenges like GBV and economic hardship.

The vision of Phakama Hannah is to expand across South Africa, establishing a branch in every province. The goal is for all women to be part of it and to become the face of the nation, praying for the country, the president and his cabinet, children, employment and business opportunities, those struggling with alcohol and substance abuse, hospitals, prisons, and even wars across the world. As women of the Bible, they aim to play an active and meaningful role on Earth.

The organizers also extended heartfelt gratitude to sponsors—NextGen Creations, Bellatools, Young Vision, Absolute Water, and Fabricated Steel Manufacturing—for making the event a success.
