Tembisa, Gauteng: In an effort to empower young South African women and equip them with essential life skills, entrepreneurship knowledge, career guidance, and opportunities to combat unemployment, the Gauteng Young Vision Community Based Organisation has partnered with SA Rainbow News to launch a transformative program. Aimed at girls aged 20 to 24 years old, the initiative seeks to make a tangible difference in the lives of young women in the Tembisa area.

The program, running from April to July 2024, offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to address the multifaceted challenges faced by young women in South Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in workshops, mentorship sessions, and practical training sessions tailored to enhance their life skills, foster entrepreneurial spirit, provide career guidance, and offer support in navigating the job market.

To be eligible for participation, candidates must be South African girl children between the ages of 20 to 24 years old and possess a valid ID. Additionally, they are required to provide proof of a banking statement. The program not only promises valuable learning experiences but also offers attractive rewards and incentives. Participants will receive a certificate of participation, along with a weist bag, umbrellas, and R1000 cash each. Furthermore, a graduation braai will be organized to celebrate the accomplishments of the participants upon completion of the program.

“We believe in the potential of young South African women to drive positive change in their communities and beyond,” remarked a spokesperson for the Gauteng Young Vision Community Based Organisation. “Through this partnership with SA Rainbow News, we aim to provide young women in Tembisa with the necessary tools and support to unlock their full potential and pursue their aspirations with confidence.”
