In a time where morals and values are considered a thing of the past and the youth have shifted from teaches of values of humanity, a time where children no longer have respect for elders. One wonders what is being done by leaders to get things back to their norm. It gives great relief to know that we still have people who still care about what happens around them.

South African Rainbow News had the pleasure to engage with one Pastor Jacob Mabote who is not only a pastor but a facilitator, mentor and personal development trainer. Born in the Free State province. Moved to Gauteng in a township called Voslorous after finishing his matriculation when he was around 19 years old for greener pastures and opportunities.

Blessed with the calling of being the speaker of the word of life, delivering the word of God to save lives and all who need deliverance. Pastor Mabote enrolled himself to a Bible school called Bible League and Mount Zion where he did his Theological Studies and graduated with a diploma.

Pastor Mabote Started his own church called Impact Gospel Church with the intention of tackling core issues that the community are faced with, to motivate, to pray and to practically come up with solutions to change the situation of the lives of his congregants and the community at large. Also under the umbrella of his church he started a foundation called the Divine Impact Foundation which is mandated with targeting key areas where prayer, motivation and mentoring is required.

Currently the foundation is working at Modderbee Correctional Services where they offer guidance, spiritual work and mentoring to inmates and also assist in re integrating ex inmates into society.

To expand his reach Pastor Mabote began writing books and magazines to positively influence people in challenging situations and who are trapped in the midst of confusion and depression. One book was published in 2015 called “Purpose never expires” where Mabote speaks to all challenges and prays against all obstacles faced by humanity. Followed by the magazine called “leadership mandate” where he profiles leaders, businesses, pastors, doctors and all stakeholders in the community who are making a positive change in the communities they live in.

Talking to South African Rainbow News journalist Mabote said “My main assignment, mandate and purpose in life is to effect positive change it is to aspire people to be driven into their purpose, my goal is to raise godly effective leaders, man and women of integrity I believe that in life purpose never expires. As long as you are alive you can still achieve, attain and accomplish. Many people because of their circumstances they end up losing hope but in life as individuals we all need to understand that as long as you are alive anything can happen in your life, just be motivated and hope for the best, if you live your life with purpose you will understand failing is not final, believe and trust in God because he is able”.
