ISITHAMA SECTION, TEMBISA | 18 JULY 2026 — Residents of Isithama Section came together in the true spirit of Nelson Mandela International Day by dedicating 67 minutes to cleaning their neighbourhood as part of the “67 Minutes for a Cleaner, Better Community” campaign.
The initiative brought together community members, local leaders, elders, church members, and Pastor Lucky Mondlane of the Baptist Community Church, all working side by side to clean the streets and promote a healthier, safer, and more beautiful environment.

The campaign was well supported by residents from across the community, creating an atmosphere of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility. Community leaders praised the success of the initiative and encouraged residents to maintain the momentum by organising regular community clean-up campaigns every fourth week. Addressing the volunteers, Pastor Lucky Mondlane encouraged residents to embrace cleanliness as a way of life.

The organisation’s co-founders, Noluthando Nkuna and Ayanda Maluleka, donated clothing and sanitary pads to vulnerable members of the community, demonstrating compassion and support for those in need.
The donation drive highlighted the importance of restoring dignity, promoting care, and ensuring that vulnerable families receive practical assistance during challenging times.
