Recent events have marked significant milestones for Inkosana Mbalekwa Mahlangu, who is stepping into his role with honor and responsibility.

On 23rd August 2025, Inkosana Mbalekwa Mahlangu was inaugurated at Tsakane Extension 15 esigodlweni during a traditional ceremony that officially acknowledged his new role. The event highlighted the importance of nurturing leadership rooted in culture, values, and respect for community traditions.

On 06th September 2025, Inkosi Magodongo welcomed traditional leaders and stakeholders at his isigodlo in Malandela, Tsakane. The purpose of the urgent meeting was to introduce the newly appointed Inkosana Mbalekwa Mahlangu to the traditional leadership structures under King Ndzundza Mabhoko III.

The discussions emphasized how Inkosana Mahlangu should work closely with both the community and government, guided by the principles of Act 41 of 2003 (Traditional Leadership and Governance), its amendments, as well as Act 4 of 2010 (Traditional Leadership and Governance in Gauteng).
