PIMVILLE, SOWETO – The Soweto community has been left in shock following a tragic attack at Maponya Mall, where 27-year-old e-hailing driver Siyanda Mthokozisi Mvelase was shot and set alight inside his vehicle on Wednesday evening.

Maponya Mall has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim, condemning the violent act. In an official statement, management said: “We condemn these criminal acts and will continue to work with authorities, the community, and other stakeholders to ensure justice is served.”
