At just 19 years old, Wandile Sokoyi from Teanong Section, Tembisa, is already laying a strong foundation for a promising future in Information Technology and media. Thanks to the End User Computing program facilitated by NCASA Gauteng, Wandile is one of the many youth currently being empowered through digital skills at Hospital View, Tembisa 1632.

Wandile’s journey began with a simple message from a friend. “I received a message about the program and we decided to hand in our CVs. I just knew this opportunity would benefit my journey in IT and media,” he said with confidence.

With a deep passion for working smart and efficiently, Wandile shared how the program has already improved his approach to technology. “Using the device to work faster and more efficiently is a game-changer. I believe this will open more doors for me in the future and add value to the qualifications I’ve already earned.”

Wandile speaks highly of the program’s structure. “It’s amazing—the hours work well for me, and the learning environment is excellent.” Beyond the classroom, the program has made a direct impact on his daily life. “It’s helped me with money for job hunting and covering my monthly expenses,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Wandile is focused on both study and entrepreneurship. “I’ll be studying and working part-time to earn extra income. I’m also planning to start something of my own—something that provides employment for young people and helps reduce drug use, alcohol abuse, and gang violence in our communities.”
