Tiego Skills Development and Training is proud to announce a transformative milestone in our commitment to equipping young people with future-ready skills. Through the invaluable support of the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) and Mika Enterprise, we have expanded our resources to include eight laptops, a multifunction printer, a professional camera, and an advanced robotics project kit — tools that will significantly enhance our ability to deliver high-impact digital and robotics training.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Petrus Hlatshwayo and the GEP (Gauteng Enterprise Propeller) team, whose unwavering support, open communication, and consistent engagement throughout our funding application played a crucial role in making this initiative possible. Their dedication to small enterprises and grassroots development has enabled us to take a vital step forward in bridging the digital divide.

We are also deeply grateful to Mika Enterprise, the sponsor of our robotics project kit. This cutting-edge educational resource will empower our learners to explore the world of robotics, programming, and automation through hands-on experience. With this tool, we aim to foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation — essential skills in the rapidly evolving digital age.

Our success would not be possible without the dedication of the team behind Tiego Skills Development and Training:

Xolane Gumbi, our Managing Director, shares:
“I am truly grateful for the support we’ve received from GEP and Mika Enterprise. This contribution marks a turning point in how we deliver education and skills training. Our learners will be thrilled to finally work with computers and robotics kits — tools that open doors to innovation, creativity, and endless opportunity.”

Zandile Audrey Gumbi, our Project Manager, adds:
“This moment is both exciting and emotional for us. We’ve worked tirelessly to secure resources that will take our training to the next level. Our learners will now interact with real technology that brings learning to life. Thank you for believing in our vision.”

Ndumiso Nkosi, tutors, reflects:
“It’s powerful to know our learners will have access to laptops and robotics kits that turn theory into real-world skills. I’m looking forward to guiding them into the digital age — and they can’t wait to begin!”

Aubrey Phalane, tutor, shares:
“With these tools, we’ll take learning to the next level. Our learners are eager and ready — I’m excited to see their eyes light up when they start coding and building their first robot.”

Nomadlozi Nhlapo, responsible for learner support, says:
“This is a proud moment. We can now give our learners the exposure they truly deserve. I can already see their curiosity and excitement growing — this is just the beginning of something great.”

With this newly acquired equipment, we are excited to roll out a Robotics and Digital Skills Programme that empowers young minds, preparing them for opportunities within the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This initiative represents more than just technological progress — it is a bold investment in the potential of our youth and the future of our communities.

Thank you once again to GEP, Mika Enterprise, and our entire team for making this vision a reality.
