The Academy officially launched on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at 97 Mahashi Street, Ecaleni Section, setting the tone for its mission to develop disciplined, responsible, and empowered young people. The tournament formed part of the Academy’s activation and player assessment programme, designed to identify talent and expose young athletes to structured development pathways that integrate sport and education.

Four competitive junior teams participated in the tournament: SA Young Vision Elite Development Academy, Xubeni Ace’s United FC, Kasi’s Spares FC, and Emoyeni United FC.
