DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS – 17 SEPTEMBER 2025

The SABHIBA NPO Career and Business Exhibition moved into its third day on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at Marivate Park, Daveyton 1520. This five-day event, running from 15–19 September 2025, continues to create a vital platform for jobseekers, entrepreneurs, government departments, educational institutions and service providers to connect with the community.

The programme for Day 3 opened with a warm welcome and introduction from Programme Director Captain SA, Mr Elias Sibeko. He inspired attendees with remarks on unity, community participation and the power of collaboration in addressing unemployment and promoting small business development.

This was followed by an official welcome on behalf of SA Young Vision Advertising and Marketing, also delivered by Mr Sibeko. In his address, he reaffirmed SA Young Vision’s commitment to supporting initiatives that open doors for youth, small enterprises and local economic upliftment.

Providing background, Ms Daisy Dhlamini gave an informative overview of SABHIBA, the hosting organisation. She highlighted SABHIBA’s mission to empower communities through education, skills development and access to business networks. Her remarks reminded participants that the exhibition is not just an event but a continuing effort to transform local economies.

The day’s programme featured a strong line-up of exhibitors who showcased their services and opportunities available to the public:

  • Zooks Funeral Services presentation by Mr S. Khumalo offered insights into affordable and community-focused funeral plans.
  • Shout It Now presentation by Ms Nompilo Hadebe explained how their services cover both young people and adults, offering support programmes and initiatives with a wide social impact.
  • Department of Employment and Labour presentation by Mr L. Ramoroke outlined how the department can assist with job placements, labour advice and workplace rights.
  • Ekurhuleni East TVET College presentation by Ms Resego Kgaloane highlighted the college’s diverse training programmes, bursaries and enrolment opportunities for young people in the area.
